A well developed office sector (86% of establishments) characterises the new town where 10,500 persons work.
The most dynamic centres of activity are: computer software research, chemical sectors, pharmaceuticals, physics, biotechnology and other high technology domains. A whole panoply of SME’s, in fact, rapidly growing, along with well-established groups. Not forgetting the spin-offs from the UCL. With 3 jobs per 1 working inhabitant, the unemployment rate is exceptionally low.
